Ksh 66 Million hospital bill!! Yes, you heard it right. This is the story of a lady in Nairobi who has been struggling with her child. The child has been in ICU for three years.

Unny Mutune Nyaata is requesting Kenyans of goodwill to help her foot the bill. It all started in 2017 when she was involved in a road accident in the company of her two months old son.

“What I remember is screaming as I saw a lorry right in front of us, then I couldn’t see a thing I thought this is it. I just wanted to breathe. My son was in my arms, but as much as I could not see him, I knew something was wrong. He was too quiet,” she said

She would later find out that her son had suffered fatal injuries. A medical report could confirm her worst fears. Her son had suffered a traumatic spine injury.

She further said that the baby, for the last 2-3 years, her son, has been dependent on tracheostomy. She gives thanks to God since despite how long it has taken, the son responds well mechanically, and she hopes that one day they will be out of the hospital’s confines.
