Lawyer known as Antony kabathi Sustains Serious Gunshot Injuries In Suspected Bandit Attack

A Kenyan lawyer was seriously injured by gunfire after being attacked by armed assailants on the Isiolo-Modogashe Road on Sunday. The people                  who attacked him were armed.

Mr. Anthony Gathitu Kabathi, a lawyer at Kabuthi and Company Advocates, was reportedly driving back to Nairobi from a client meeting in Garissa when he was attacked near Laga Logo, which is about 5 kilometers from a GSU camp. A police report detailed the events surrounding the attack.

According to GSU officers who responded to a public distress call, the lawyer sustained severe gunshot wounds to his chest, left hand, thumb, and left side abdomen during the ambush.The officers arrived on the scene in a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle, searched the area, and gave the attorney immediate first aid before transporting him to Isiolo Galaxy Hospital, where he is said to be in stable condition.According to the police department’s report, officers arrived on scene.

The Toyota Landcruiser he was driving was handed over to the Isiolo Police Station, which is currently investigating the incident.
